A Blogging Noob

Get a blog, they said.  It'll be fun, they said.

So here I am.  

I'm in awe of other bloggers - and vloggers - and just people in general who seem to naturally know what sort of thing will engage and interest people.

So, a little about me.

I'm a single mum of 3, and probably old enough to know better.  I have a military background, and this tends to bleed in to everything.  I guess once a warrior, always a warrior.  Not really necessary in the supermarket, though!

My 2 eldest children - both girls - are negotiating their way through adulthood.  I am lucky enough to have 2 grandsons.  My youngest child, a son, is 12 years old.

I will be sharing my thoughts about a myriad of things:  mental health, autism, cooking, housework (or the lack thereof, looking around somewhat ruefully).

I'm an ardent Royalist, and whilst in the armed forces I was lucky enough to work at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Wellington Barracks (next door to Buckingham Palace) and Windsor.  I've met the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, and seen many Royals behind the scenes as it were (Charles and Diana while still married, their sons when they were small, the Queen Mother and the Princess Royal).  So maybe some news and current events as well.
